App.IO: Make Your First Multiplayer App

Youth (Ages 8-11) and
Precollege (Ages 11-14)

If your child likes to play Agar.io or Slither.io they will love this class! Become the creator of the next viral web app!

In this class, explore the most popular .IO apps, design your own multiplayer experience and learn how to code your own app.

Student-created apps will be accessible on a private site and can be played on any mobile device or computer. Publishing to App Stores not included. Students do not need to own a smartphone to take this class.

Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years.

About the Instructors

This program is designed by Black Rocket, an educational technology company that specializes in emerging technologies and instruction. Black Rocket has more than a decade of experience designing camps in the STEM and digital arts fields.

Every program is powered by the students’ innate imaginations and designed to bring their ideas to life in a fun, hands-on learning environment. From concept to creation, students will demonstrate their masterpiece to the world at the end of each week! All Black Rocket programs mirror real-life experiences and the collaborative nature of the design process.

Youth: July 26 – 30
Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 12:30 pm

Precollege: July 26 – 30
Monday – Friday, 1:30 – 4:30 pm

Cost per session: $295, if registered by May 7, 2021
$320 after May 7
