Emily and Eugene Grant Distinguished Scholar Lecture

Every year, the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers a lecture series to our students and the campus community that brings in scholars from  around the world to discuss topics that are at the forefront of our society. This lecture series is made possible by the college’s long-term benefactors Eugene and Emily Grant, whose intent was to award a scholar who would promote academic excellence and student success in the liberal arts, and to enrich the Purchase College campus.

Some of our past lectures include:

  • 2017, Razia Iqbal, BBC Journalist and one of the main hosts of BBC Newshour
  • 2015–16, Ruth Wilson Gilmore, Professor of Geography at the City University of New York Graduate Center
