On Campus (SUMMER ONLY):For a true “camp” experience at a very reasonable cost, reside on the Purchase College campus in an apartment with three of your colleagues/fellow Purchase College adult students (limited availability). |
For those individuals looking for the “campus experience” and for those who welcome community living, single bedrooms (with a Twin XL bed) in four-bedroom air-conditioned apartments with WiFi are available in Alumni Village (#2 on the campus map). Students share one bathroom, a kitchen with a refrigerator, stove, and dishwasher, a common dining and lounging area, and a washer/dryer with three colleagues/fellow Purchase College adult students. Please note: No linens, pillows, blankets, plates, utensils, cups, cookware, etc. are provided. There are no on-campus dining options over the weekends and on-campus dining hours end by 2 p.m. Monday-Friday during the summer. If residing on campus, it is advisable to have a car (in which case a parking pass must be purchased) to travel to classrooms (typically in the Humanities Building - #17 on the campus map), restaurants, stores, etc. Zipcars are available (no parking pass is necessary). Microwaves are not available for rent through the College during the summer, but participants may rent them on their own. There are microwaves in the college cafeteria and the commuter lounge. Fees: A flat rate of $1,200 for a single bedroom in an Alumni Village apartment for the period starting Friday, May 29, through Sunday, June 14, 2020. Full payment is due at the time of registration and is fully refundable if cancellation is received by Friday, May 22, 2020. You will use course number ASC1050 when registering; the early registration discount is not applicable, and accommodations may only be reserved for the full 16 nights. You may opt to reside in a studio, one-bedroom suite, or a two-bedroom/two-bathroom suite (shared with one colleague/fellow Purchase College adult student). Complimentary full breakfast buffet and complimentary daily shuttle service to and from the SUNY Purchase campus on a space available basis (reservations required) are included. All Hyatt House hotels are smoke-free.
King Studio: $129 per person/day plus tax
One-Bedroom King Suite: $159 per person/day, plus tax Two-Bedroom King/King Suite: By special request only; $129.50 per person/day plus tax (shared with one colleague/fellow Purchase College adult student, when available. Two-bedroom/two-bath suites at the Hyatt House are perfect for corporate travelers attending the same meeting or event. These large suites offer each traveler a high degree of privacy and functionality. Each bedroom in the two-bedroom/two-bath suite has its own bathroom, spacious closet, 50” television, telephone line, and dedicated work space, including a full-size desk, dual-line phone, voicemail, and complimentary high-speed Internet access, ensuring that each guest can unwind and relax. Each suite also offers a shared living area with a sofa sleeper, 50” TV and DVD player, and a fully-equipped kitchen. The option to bill each room separately is available upon request.
