A team from Campus Technology Services, the Neuberger Museum of Art, the Performing Arts Center developed the concept and presented it to the Provost and the Deans - where it received enthusiastic endorsement - and began preparing the space. We worked with students and faculty from our Community Design program and Arts Management program to develop a name, brand identity, marketing campaigns with Web and social networking sites. In April 2012, the College established the Passage Gallery Steering Committee, adding faculty from the School of Art and Design, Arts Management, the School of Film and Media Studires, and the Library.
The Gallery is 85’ x 25’ – and is equipped with a free-standing Mila wall system, allowing a high degree of flexibility in the installations that can be accommodated. The Gallery is designed to support media-based work with plentiful power and data outlets, and WiFi throughout the space. There are two large displays in the front windows for signage and motion graphics.
The Passage Gallery is open Tuesday through Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 (closed Monday and during exhibition changeovers) and by special appointment for classes, lectures, screenings and performances.
