How does the Office of Sponsored Research ensure that I comply with Purchase College, Research Foundation, and sponsor guidelines?
The Office of Sponsored Research reviews the guidelines for every grant prior to submission, and inform PIs about all relevant policies for their project or research.
When relevant, Sponsored Research staff members obtain special permissions to ensure that grant applications meet sponsor guidelines for compliance with relevant regulations. These include the use of human subjects, classified research, use of vertebrate animals, intellectual property, and export controls. The office keeps abreast of potential federal regulatory concerns and works with the Research Foundation compliance staff to understand and resolve issues.
Who oversees audit issues?
The Offices of Sponsored Funds and Sponsored Research, and the Research Foundation work to verify that all records are audited. The Office of Sponsored Funds also manages the audit with regard to our indirect costs rates.
