Diplomas

DIPLOMA ORDER POLICY
Diplomas are issued to all graduates upon conferral of the degree. Diplomas are ordered for printing by the Registrar’s Office three times per year, after each degree conferral date (January, May, and August). Please allow several weeks from your graduation date for diplomas to arrive by mail. On rare occasions we will accumulate 10+ diploma reorder requests between these designated order dates and will order a batch in between. The fee to reorder a diploma is $15.00 unless the original diploma arrives damaged or with errors. In the case of damaged or incorrect diplomas, the original diploma must be returned to the Registrar’s Office for the fee to be waived.

MAILING
Diplomas are sent to the address indicated on your graduation application submitted through myHeliotrope. Please make sure that you have the correct address on file at the time of your graduation. If graduates do not submit their diploma order information via this survey, their diplomas will be printed with their first and last name on file and mailed to their permanent address.

NOTE: Changing your mailing or permanent address on record does notautomatically change your diploma mailing address. We are not responsible for diplomas lost in transit.

HOLD POLICY
We will hold diplomas for students who have financial holds on their account. If you clear your hold and wish to have your diploma mailed, please contact the Registrar’s Office at (914) 251-7000. Diplomas will be held until we are notified that all holds have been cleared.


REORDERING DIPLOMAS
If you wish to reorder a diploma, please submit a Diploma Reorder Form or letter to the Registrar’s Office including the following information:

  • Name (as it should appear on the diploma)
  • Student ID or SSN
  • Type of degree received
  • Graduation semester and year
  • The address to which the diploma should be mailed
  • Phone number
  • Signature

Enclose the $15.00 payment and mail to:

If your diploma arrives damaged or with errors, enclose the original diploma with your reorder request and do not include the fee payment.
