Cheyenne Myrie ’17

Cheyenne Myrie is the Director of Individual Giving and Special Events at the Tony Award-winning Signature Theatre.

In this role, she spearheads major gifts, oversees the young patron program, and organizes donor events including Signature’s gala.

Prior to this role, she served for two years as the Director of Institutional Advancement at The Theater Offensive, a QTPOC theater organization based in Boston.

In both roles, she brings together diverse knowledge and experience in arts management, Black theatre history and narrative, and working with Millennial and Gen Z populations.

Cheyenne also runs 6 Degrees Apart, an arts administration company that provides arts administration job opportunities, education, and consultancy.

Her time at Purchase informed her expertise and paved the way for her career growth through courses,  hands-on experience supporting student productions, and senior project research on the financial models of Black theaters—which earned  the Jandon Business of the Arts Award.

She went on to receive her MA from New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she focused on fundraising and marketing in theatre to audiences of the global majority.
