Caleb Eberhardt ’12

Caleb Eberhardt ’12 made his Broadway debut in Tarell Alvin McCraney’s Choir Boy in 2018, returning to the role of David, which he first played in the play’s west coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse in 2014.

Eberhardt returned to Broadway as Hovstad in An Enemy of the People at Broadway’s Circle in the Square (March 18–June 23, 2024).

He also played Emilio in The Comeuppance (May 16–July 9, 2023) and Orpheus in Eurydice (May 13–June 27, 2025) at the Off-Broadway Signature Theatre as well as the leading role of Kenneth in the west coast premiere of Eboni Booth’s Pulitzer Prize winning play Primary Trust at the La Jolla Playhouse (September 24–October 20, 2024).

He received two Drama League Distinguished Performance Award nominations in 2024 for An Enemy of the People and The Comeuppance.

He played the role of Addis in On Sugarland at the New York Theatre Workshop, for which he earned an AUDELCO “The VIV” Award nomination for Featured Actor in a Play.

Off-Broadway, Eberhardt appeared in Is God Is at Soho Rep and Esai’s Table at Cherry Lane Theatre.

He appeared in the films Judas and the Black Messiah, The Subject, and the upcoming films Chestnut and Manodrome. On TV, he appeared in HBO’s Betty.

Also a talented musician, Eberhardt creates music by the name Rosehardt (@rosehardt).
