Faye Hirsch

Visiting Associate Professor of Art+Design

Faye Hirsch is an editor and critic who has published widely on contemporary art, most frequently in Art in America, where she has been a senior editor since 2003.

Before that, she was editor-in-chief at Art on Paper and senior editor at Print Collector’s Newsletter, with expertise in the history of contemporary printmaking. She received her PhD in the history of art from Yale University in 1987, and has taught at the University of Oregon at Eugene, University of Arizona at Tucson, School of Visual Art, and Rhode Island School of Design.

Hirsch is the MFA program coordinator in the School of Art+Design and first joined the faculty in the fall of 2012 as a part-time associate professor.
