Registration is now open for the 32nd annual SUNY Conference on Instruction and Technology! CIT 2024: Creating Inclusive Innovation in Higher Education will take place on May 21-24, 2024 at the University at Buffalo. Highlights include:

FACT2 AI Symposium: Transforming Educational Practices in a World with AI, May 21, virtual (free) and in-person at the University at Buffalo

Registration is open for the 2024 FACT2 AI Symposium, hosted by the Faculty Advisory Council on Teaching and Technology (FACT2), on May 21. This symposium is a pivotal gathering for educators, instructional designers, technologists, student support professionals, and administrators seeking to navigate the transformative impact of AI on education. Virtual attendance is available at no charge, ensuring accessibility for all stakeholders.

Designed to empower attendees with actionable insights, the symposium offers two concurrent sessions throughout the day, catering to diverse interests and expertise. Whether participating in person at the University at Buffalo or remotely via Zoom, participants will delve into discussions, workshops, and presentations aimed at reshaping educational practices in an AI-driven world.

CUNY Open Education Publishing Institute: ​​Collaborative Knowledge & Social Justice, June 2024, in-person, CUNY Graduate Center

With the generous support of the National Endowment for the Humanities, the CUNY Graduate Center will host an advanced digital humanities summer institute that will support scholars’ creation and design of OER publications and curricula that incorporate community-based concerns and foster collaborative knowledge creation with and for students. Registration is now open for the free upcoming Perusall Exchange 2024. Join Perusall for their annual community conference where educators share teaching ideas and collaborate through synchronous and asynchronous sessions within the social learning platform.

This year’s theme is Education in the Age of Generative AI. The introduction of ChatGPT and other generative AI platforms are leading us to a transformative shift in education.This poses both challenges and opportunities for institutions, educators, and students, creating a distinctive landscape that encourages creative solutions and engaging discussions.
