Aaron Seeber, Class of 2014
Aaron Seeber, a SUNY Purchase graduate from the Class of 2014, is making his name as an emerging jazz drummer in New York City. Upon graduating, Aaron has toured internationally with the Warren Wolf Trio and nationally with the Grammy Award winning group, New York Voices.
Aaron has performed at the most prestigious venues in New York with greats such as Ed Cherry, Clifton Anderson, Mike Ledonne, Joe Magnarelli, Steve Nelson, David Kikoski, Pete Malinverni, Paul Bollenback, Kiyoshi Kitagawa, and David Wong, among many others.
He brings his own band every month to the esteemed Smalls Jazz Club in Greenwich village. Aaron recently became an endorser of Murat-Diril cymbals.
When asked about his time at Purchase, he wrote, “Being at Purchase really helped me to create the career that I wanted for myself. I studied with many of the best teachers in the world and always found myself learning in a comfortable, open-minded environment. The proximity to the city helped me so that I could take what I learned in the classroom and apply it to the real world. I developed life-lasting relationships with so many of my professors and to this day I feel that I can reach out to them as a student and as a friend.
