Sequoia Sellinger (’17) has been selected for the prestigious BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

Regarded as the premiere training ground for emerging musical theatre composers, lyricists and librettists, the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop is a 2-year program that guides students through creating their own musical.

Since its inception in 1961, members and alumni have participated in such hits as A Chorus Line, Avenue Q, The Book of Moron, Little Shop of Horros, Next to Normal, Ragtime, and Thoroughly Modern Millie, among many many other.

In recognition of its resounding contribution to the past half-century of musical theatre, the Workshop was awarded a special Tony Award in 2007 and a Drama Desk Award in 2006.
