Technology Assistance Office (TAO)
The Tech Assistance Office (TAO) serves as a CTS outpost within the Library and provides technology and troubleshooting help to Library patrons using Library computers, printers, scanners etc.
The Assistive Technology Lab houses specialized software and hardware designed to help campus community members with visual, hearing, and/or learning disabilities. TAO: Help from CTS
For help with computer, printer, scanner, and software questions, please see the CTS technician in the Technology Assistance Office (TAO) or call (914) 251-6408. The TAO is located on the first floor of the Library, in room 1002B, near the elevator.
For password/account resets, print reimbursement requests, or questions about advanced software programs, please contact the CTS Helpdesk by creating a ticket in the Work Order Tracking system, using the CTS Zoom video support service, or visiting the CTS Helpdesk in-person in Social Sciences 0025.
Hours
The TAO is staffed by a CTS technician Monday -Friday 12:00pm - 4:00pm.
If the TAO office is unstaffed, please use the CTS Video Chat Support service to get help via Zoom.
Assistive Technology Lab
Assistive technology is housed on the first floor of the Library, in room 1015C , within the Digital Media Zone (DMZ). This room includes two PCs with accessibility software, a CCTV, and a braille printer. The equipment housed in the Assistive Technology Lab is available whenever the Library is open— no reservations or check-ins are required.
Students with disabilities are given priority to use the assistive technology equipment & software. These PCs are not intended for public/general use or for use by classes. For general computing or printing, please use one of the Library’s public computer labs.

Hours
The Assistive Technology Lab is available whenever the Library is open. See the Library Hours page. Library hours may vary during holidays, breaks, or emergencies.
On rare occasions, room 1015C may be booked for a meeting or small class; however, students requiring assistive technology access should still be permitted inside. If the door is locked accidentally, please ask the Circulation Desk staff to unlock it.
