Jazz Institute Concert

The Jazz Institute is an intensive,
performance-driven week for
serious students and practitioners of jazz, ages 14–18. It is a great opportunity to:

• learn from caring experts,
• improve your skills, and
• meet others who share your interest in jazz.

The faculty includes esteemed performers representing many facets of the jazz world. The program is limited to 44 students, accepted through a recorded audition review process.

A typical day will include two daily ensemble (small group) rehearsals, independent instruction through master classes, and specialized seminars and performances given during the week. The Institute concludes with a final, videotaped concert for family and friends on Friday afternoon, July 18. A souvenir DVD of the concert is provided to each participant.
