Commencement

Attendance at the annual commencement ceremonies is considered one of a faculty member’s regular responsibilities. These ceremonies are held in May, usually on a Friday. Confirmed commencement dates through 2017, published in the academic calendars, are:

• Friday, May 17, 2013: 41st Annual Commencement
• Friday, May 16, 2014: 42nd Annual Commencement
• Friday, May 15, 2015: 43rd Annual Commencement
• Friday, May 20, 2016: 44th Annual Commencement
• Friday, May 19, 2017: 45th Annual Commencement

Academic regalia, including caps, gowns, tassels, and hoods, may be rented through the campus bookstore. The Commencement Committee (a group of faculty, students, and staff appointed by the president) arranges the ceremony. Details are provided by the committee both online and in email notices to the campus community.
