Residence Life

As the Director of Community Engagement, I extend my personal welcome to returning students, a big hello for the new students living on campus for the first time and your families, and a nice to meet you to those interested in joining our team. By visiting us here online, you recognize the value of the on-campus experience.

Our motto “Think Wide Open” greatly describes the residential experience. College is not only about academic development but includes social development as well. The exchange of ideas, culture, and outlook does not stop when class is over. It continues through drum circles in our quad, music shows in the student center, supported by our faculty and staff who live on-campus, deep conversations about theory in the residence halls.

Living on campus is a place where:

• You have the opportunity to make lasting friendships and memories.

• Students are celebrated for being themselves.

• Students earn higher GPAs, to higher graduation rates, and have a more enriching college experience.

We are all here to make the on-campus experience at Purchase College a truly transformational and invaluable one for all our residents. Whether it’s entertaining community programs, engaging study groups, or the caring in-hall staffs, I encourage students to take advantage of all the services, programs, and support staff in on-campus communities. If you need anything, just let us know.

On behalf of my entire staff, welcome to Purchase College!
