Q: How much do books and supplies cost, and will financial aid pay for them?

A:

We estimate that annual cost for books and supplies at Purchase College is $1,100 for Liberal Arts and Science students and $1,900 for Visual and Performing Art students.  These amounts are included in your student's nine-month “Cost of Attendance” budget, as are personal and transportation costs.  Although these costs are not on your “Statement of Student Fees,” you need to be prepared to pay for you books and supplies before classes begin.  You can purchase books and supllies from the Campus Bookstore with cash, check, VISA or MasterCard.  We do not give out vouchers, advances on financial aid or loans to pay for books and supplies.  Students must be prepared to use other resources to pay for books and supplies at the beginning of the semester.
