Tony
Marques: Graduated with a B. A. in Dance Production Degree from the
Dance Dept. of S.U.N.Y. Brockport. Upon graduation he attended the
Advanced Lighting Design course at The Lester Polokov School of Theater
Design in New York City, where his teachers were John Gleason, Peggy
Clark, and Tom Skelton. For the past twelve years Mr. Marques had
been representing Jennifer Tipton as the lighting supervisor for the
Paul Taylor Dance Co. In the field of dance, Mr. Marques has created
designs for the Paul Taylor Dance Co., Peter Pucci Plus Dancers, Namaste
Dance, Rebecca Kelly Dance Co., DRA's "Friends in Deed"
I & II, Schonberg Dancycle, C Eule Dance, Elizabeth Keen Dance
Co., Don Redlich Dance Co., Hartford Ballet, Thingsezisee'm Dance
/ Theatre, Musawwir Gymnastic Dance Co., and for the choreographers;
Andrew Asnes, Mary Cochran, Gayle Gibbons, David Grenke, Caron Eule,
Hernando Cortez, Elisa King, Evelyn Palleja, Tom Patrick, Adam Miller,
and Matthew Nash, to name a few. Some of Mr. Marques' other lighting
credits include, four years as lighting director of "The Ritz"
rock & roll club, associate lighting design for Madonna's "Sex"
book party in Industria, the Girbaud Jeans Show at Industria, Esquire
Magazine's fashion show, The American Knitwear Show, the FiFi awards,
and The Effie Awards. Mr. Marques currently works as lighting supervisor
and production coordinator for special dance events at The Kennedy
Center for the Performing Arts, Eisenhower Theater.
