FIRST - Priority Publications
Each year, several major projects are assigned to the Office of Publications by the Purchase College Publications Committee and various College vice presidents. These include:
Such high-priority publications take precedent over other campus materials. Publications resources (human and mechanical) are dedicated to these projects first. These major projects are produced in collaboration with outside design firms, and under the direct supervision of the president or the vice president responsible for the project. Production and printing schedules are inflexible.
SECOND - Essential Publications
In order for the college community to operate smoothly throughout the year, some essential and recurring printed materials are permanently on the docket.These include:
Essential publications are produced "in-house" by Publications staff. Frequently, professional designers are engaged to consult on new publications during initial design and concept phases, but the Publications Office is generally responsible for the production and printing of these projects. Because the materials are critical to the campus community, they are a priority on the publications docket.
THIRD - All Other Publications
The Office of Publications can assist any department or division on campus in all phases of producing a publication, provided resources are available and production schedules are manageable. Both new and updated publications projects are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A minimum of four weeks lead time (from the time you turn over original materials to the time your printed publications are delivered) is required. Depending on the size, scope and complexity of the project, as many as 10 weeks may be required. The more lead time available, the more service we will be able to provide. Examples include:
