The Library's Instructional Services Mission is to:

Support the college’s mission to promote lifelong learning and critical thinking so that members of the Purchase College community can effectively manage available resources and responsibly participate in a complex and dynamic society.

To encourage students to develop both personal and intellectual confidence through hands-on learning and with attention to diverse learning styles and diverse technological backgrounds.

Provide each participant, through the acquisition of transferable information literacy skills, the ability to adapt intellectually and technologically so that they can effectively identify, retrieve, and evaluate information.
