Typical Day

Encourage your child’s love of nature and their delight of exploring the great outdoors in this fun and creative new program. Young Nature Explorers is designed to promote the wonder of nature and wildlife while creating treasured art pieces that express each child’s unique encounters. Children will explore the beautiful surroundings on the Purchase College campus during nature walks, turning over rocks to discover salamanders and other creepy crawlers, building bird feeders to attract a variety of native feathered friends, planting seeds, and expressing their findings in journal writings, drawings, and other forms of arts and crafts. Our instructors are highly imaginative educators dedicated to making Young Nature Explorers a memorable adventure.

  • Family members are invited to attend and celebrate their young naturalist’s accomplishments at the culminating exhibition on the last day of the session.
  • All art supplies are included.

To broaden skills and exposure to the arts, Young Nature Explorers can be combined with Young Artists, Youth Musical Theatre, Shakespeare Workshop, Young Photographers, Video Game Creators and Animators, Code Breakers and App Designers (new!), Young Architects, Young Filmmakers, Songwriting Workshop, and/or Vocal Intensive to make for a well-rounded summer experience.
