Social Security and Campus ID (CID) Numbers

Disclosure of Social Security numbers is voluntary. Authority to solicit the Social Security number has been established under Section 355 of the Education Law of the State of New York. This information is maintained in the Office of the Registrar.

Social Security numbers are only used for a student’s first registration at the college. The college then assigns a campus identification (CID) number, which is printed on the student’s Purchase ID (More Card). If you have registered in the past at Purchase College, please use your CID number on all registrations and requests.
