Graduates of RCC and those who have earned approximately 60 transfer credits at other accredited colleges and universities are eligible to apply for admission to the Purchase College at Rockland Community College liberal studies bachelor's degree program. 

General Transfer Credit Policies

International students, please refer to the note below.

  1. Apply online for admission:
    • Go to > “Apply Online” > “Enter SUNY System” > and create your log-in account.
    • Choose to be a transfer student, to Purchase College, the semester, and the appropriate major* in the School of Liberal Studies.
      Useful application codes:

      • *Communications 0279
      • *Liberal Studies: Legal Studies 1725
    • Pay the $40 application fee (waived for graduates from RCC and other two-year SUNY schools who apply directly to a SUNY baccalaureate program). Checks should be made payable to SUNY APC.
  2. Transcripts:
    We require an official transcript from each college that you have attended (including college credit taken in high school). Have your official high school* and college transcripts sent to the mailing address below.

    *Students with fewer than 24 college credits must request official high school transcripts, SAT, ACT, and/or GED scores.
  3. Supplemental Admission Form:
    See the Supplemental Admission Form (PDF) for guidelines. Letters of recommendation are optional.
    • If you are interested in the extension site at Rockland Community College, please include that information in your essay.
    • Send the completed Supplemental Admission Form in via postal mail, email, or fax :
