Minor in Literature

The minor in literature is designed to provide students with an opportunity to study literature in a comparative context. Students interested in the minor should submit a completed Application for a Program of Minor Study to the faculty coordinator of the Literature Board of Study.

Academic Requirements for the Minor in Literature
Five courses in English and comparative literature, as follows:

1. A maximum of two 2000-level courses or
   one 1000-level and one 2000-level course
2. At least three upper-level (3000- or 4000-level) courses
3. Of the five courses, two must chosen from two different literature sequences.
4. Of the five courses, one must be comparative.
