Graduate music majors who concentrate in strings must meet the following conservatory requirements (42 credits) and earn a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at Purchase College. Students must complete at least one semester of MPE 5205 or MPE 5565.

Updates to the 2011–13 College Catalog:

Effective Fall 2013:

  • MPE 5991/Master’s Recital has been reduced from 2 credits to 1 credit, and one 2-credit music theory/analysis elective has been eliminated. The total conservatory requirements are reduced from 46 to 42 credits.
