Internationally renowned tenor Jacque Trussel has performed more than 80 leading roles with more than 50 opera companies throughout the world, including the Metropolitan Opera, La Scala, l’Opéra de la Bastille in Paris, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, Royal Opera House at Covent Garden, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Houston Grand Opera. He has appeared in concert with numerous symphonies, including the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, Leipzig Gewandhaus, and Concertgebouw of Amsterdam. His television broadcasts include performances of Don Jose in “Carmen” with the Canadian Broadcasting Company, “Sky Tel Broadcast” seen throughout Europe with Maria Ewing, and the “Live from Lincoln Center” broadcast. Mr. Trussel lives in New York City with his wife, voice instructor Bonnie Hamilton, and son Nathaniel. He is currently the Director of Voice and Opera Studies Program in the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College.
