Courses That Fulfill General Education Requirements

Approved undergraduate courses in each general education category are offered in a variety of disciplines and levels. To find courses that fulfill a particular general education requirement, students can:

1. search the course schedule each semester, including summer session, at studentservices.purchase.edu
    
   
2. refer to the Summer Session catalog, published by School of Liberal Studies & Continuing Education
    
   
3. consult their faculty advisor, dean, the Advising Center, or the registrar
    
   
4. refer to the PDF list of general education courses maintained by SUNY System Administration

Note: An independent study cannot be used to fulfill a SUNY general education requirement.
