Come to the Neuberger Museum of Art this season to see vanguards of American art.
American Vanguards: Graham, Davis, Gorky, de Kooning, and Their Circle, 1927-1942 opens January 26 and explores the art and influence of artist John Graham and his circle on the advancement of American modernism.
The exhibition showcases more than sixty works of art from this vital period that demonstrate the inter-connections, common sources, and shared stimuli among the members of Graham’s circle and is on view through April 29, 2012. More information...
In Visionary Sugar: Works by Kiki Smith, internationally acclaimed artist Kiki Smith explores the profound interdependence of all living things, representing and celebrating the vitality of an animistic, spiritually-charged universe.
Visionary Sugar includes large-scale drawings, printed collages, woven tapestries, multi-colored gilded reliefs, and cast bronze and aluminum sculpture and is on view February 4-May 6, 2012. More information...
