Submission Information:

     The Purchase Independent is a non-profit newspaper, paid for by the mandatory wstudent activity fee at SUNY Purchase.

     The Independent welcomes submissions from the readers. We are an open forum for campus issues and comments about The Indpenden's coverage. We accept letters, articles, comics, ads, and event listings.

     The deadline for submissions to be considered for publications in the following issue is Tuesdays at eight. After that, bribery of the highest demonination is in order.

     Publication of submissions is not guaranteed, but subject to the discretion of the editors.

     We prefer that submissions come to us electronically. It should be noted that no anonymous pieces will be accepted.
Article Guidelines:

     All articles must be submitted by 8:00 pm the Monday before publication to be considered. Articles must be a minimum of 500 words, and no longer than 1,500. Please spell check and edit your articles before submission to improve your chances of being selected.

     Articles should be submitted electronically to PurchaseIndy@Gmail.com . If you would like to guarantee that your piece be printed, we request that you attend our weekly writers meeting, which takes place every Monday at 10:00 pm for the following weeks issue.
