Public Safety Officer

Description:  Enforce NY State and Campus Parking laws and regulations; Participates in enforcement initiatives as assigned; May assist University Police with special events as assigned; May assist University Police with traffic details; Collection of parking fees and fines; Assist at Traffic Review Board Hearings; Staff parking entry points and collect daily fees; Transport and escort services as assigned; Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications: High School Graduate.  Possession of a NY State Security Guard Certification (unarmed) is required.  The ability to communicate well with others and work independently or part of a team in a vigorous work environment.  The ability to perform transactions involving large sums of money.  Hours must be flexible.

Salary: $33,322. 

*Provisional - Successful completion of the NY State Civil Service Exam specified for the position is required.
