Chemical or Hazardous Spills

INDOORS

- Evacuate the area and go outside to fresh air; stand upwind.

- Turn off any sources of flames. - Call University Police directly at 251-6911 or via an emergency phone.

 - Tell the University Police of the location of the spill (building and room number), size of the spill and if anyone has been exposed to the chemical (if so, how many people).

- Do not attempt to clean up the spill; this will be done by personnel trained to do so. 

OUTDOORS

- Move away from the spill and stand upwind.

 - Call University Police directly at 251-6911 or via an emergency phone.

 - Provide the same information as above. - Do not attempt to clean the spill.
