Senior Week 2016

SENIOR WEEK CELEBRATION: CLASS OF 2016

**Senior Week events are for graduating seniors only.  Guests will not be permitted.**

MONDAY, MAY 9

SENIOR WEEK WRISTBAND & SHIRT DISTRIBUTION
9:30am-4:30pm; OCE: CCN
All seniors wishing to participate in Senior Week MUST get an event wristband and wear it to all events. Those not wearing a wristband will not be admitted or allowed to participate.

TUESDAY, MAY 10

SENIOR PROJECT PROCESSIONAL

4pm; CCS 1001, Southside

NEW YORK YANKEES BASEBALL GAME
$10.00, bus leaves at 5:00pm from N1 parking lot
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis via the Commencement website starting at 12:30pm on 5/4. Space is limited. Price includes transportation & game ticket. Bus will return immediately following game.

KICKOFF CARNIVAL

Kick of senior week with food, games, novelty activities and more!

SOUTHSIDE PARTY
Celebrate your last week on campus with the Class of 2016!

WEDNESDAY, MAY 11

VETERANS of WESTCHESTER DONATION COLLECTION
Collection pickup locations will be in each residence area & OCC.
As you pack, please consider donating clothes, shoes, bedding, curtains or towels to benefit Veterans of Westchester.

PALISADES MALL WITH DAVE & BUSTERS TRIP
$5.00, bus leaves at 11:00am from N1 parking lot.
Tickets will be sold on a first come, first serve basis via the Commencement website starting at 12:30pm on 5/4 Space is limited.
Price includes transportation & game money to Dave & Busters. Bus will leave Dave and Busters at 4:15 pm.

COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL
What actually happens at commencement? Participating seniors should attend rehearsal to receive last minute information, submit a name pronunciation card and get all details regarding your special day. All participating seniors, should attend. Rehearsal will last no more than one hour.

FAREWELL TOUR : DINNER & BAR CRAWL

7:00PM-12:30AM, Mamaroneck Ave
7:00-10:00pm:
Whiskey Creek: Free dinner for Purchase Seniors with event wristbands. Drink specials to those 21 & older.
All students who are not 21+ will be asked to leave after 9pm.


10:00-Late Night:
Copper Jacks: Karaoke with DJ and drink specials. This event is 21+.

 

Late Night:
Black Bear Saloon: DJ with drink specials. This event is 21+


Please note: Government issued ID is required for entry to all establishments and you must be wearing a Senior Week wristband. Portions of this event 21+.
Buses will continuously run from Purchase College to Mamaroneck Avenue from 7:15pm-12:30am. Any student wishing to return after 12:30am will need to arrange their own transportation.  Bus locations: N1 (CCN) parking lot & corner of Mamaroneck & E Post Rd. Buses will have a sign in the window.

THURSDAY, MAY 12

CHAMPAGNE BRUNCH
Raise your glass and toast to your time at Purchase! Enjoy a delicious brunch buffet with your classmates, administrators, faculty and staff. Class toast will be at noon. Must be 21+ to participate in champagne toast and to be in the bar area. Government issued ID required.
11:30 – 2:00pm, D-Hall


DRAG BINGO
Play and win big at this great event! Participants have the opportunity to win great prizes sponsored by many Purchase College offices and organizations. You won’t want to miss Miz Jade take the stage!

LAST HURRAH: COCKTAILS & CASINO NIGHT
Feeling lucky? Test your luck at our Cocktails & Casino night. No real money is needed to play, participants will use “funny money” to play all casino games. Must be 21+ to enter the drink area and government issued ID is required.
6:00-9:00pm, Campus Center North & The Hub

Bus Information to Commencement: Free buses will pick up at Campus Center North and Campus Center South. Service will begin from CCN at 8:30 AM and provide continuous service to Westchester County Center until 11:00am. Buses will return to campus from 3:15pm – 5:30pm.

RESIDENTIAL AREAS CLOSE AT 10:00PM
ALL resident students must move out by 10:00pm on May 13, 2016.

 

Class T-Shirts: Shirts will be available on a first come, first serve basis and will be handed out at events; starting with wristband distribution days.

Meals: Spring semester meal plans end at 10:00am on Wednesday, May 11.
The Hub will be open Wednesday 5/11, Thursday 5/12 and Friday 5/13 from 8:00am-2:00pm. Starbucks will be open Wednesday 5/11 and Thursday 5/12 from 7:30am-2:00pm and Friday 5/13 from 7:30am-11:00am.

Trips: Tickets are available first come first serve. Students are only able to purchase one ticket each and only graduating seniors will be allowed to purchase tickets. Students must take the provided transportation that will drop the group off, wait and the return immediately following the trip. If you are unable to purchase a ticket because they have sold out, please contact Caitlin.houlihan@purchase.edu with your name, P#, Cell Phone and email to be placed on a wait list in the order of receiving your email. No refunds will be granted if you are unable to attend.

All events are for graduating seniors only and must have a wristband to participate. Please bring your MORE card and government issued ID to all events listed.


Senior Class Gift

Every year the senior class is challenged, in the form of a senior gift, to leave behind its legacy. It's time we thought about ours.
