Purchase College is one of the thirteen university colleges within The State University of New York (SUNY) system.  SUNY is the largest comprehensive system of higher education in the country.  It has 64 college campuses that span the higher education spectrum.  It has thirteen four year university colleges (Brockport, Buffalo State, Cortland, Fredonia, Geneseo, New Paltz, Old Westbury, Oneonta, Oswego, Plattsburgh, Potsdam, Purchase, and Empire State) and four research universities (Albany, Binghamton, Buffalo, Stony Brook).  SUNY enrolls 467,000 students and employs 88,000 New Yorkers.  SUNY has 3 million alumni.
