The Research Foundation has a SUNY systemwide license to “Pivot,” a grants funding database. Please contact the Office of Sponsored Research if you would like to be set up with an account.

The Office of Sponsored Research also receives updates directly from sponsors in order to keep current with sponsor agency programmatic strategies and monitor grant opportunities.

Additional Funding Opportunity Sources:

  • Grants.gov is a central storehouse for information on more than 1,000 grant programs that provides access to approximately $400 billion in annual awards. This is the primary site for submitting federal agency funding applications.
  • The New York State Library maintains a comprehensive list of state government funding opportunities.
  • The New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation (NYSTAR) publishes a funding opportunity newsletter.
  • the Foundation Center offers searchable database on foundation, corporate, and charitable organization funding opportunities. Information is available free and fee-based. The Foundation Center also offers the free electronic publication, Philanthropy News Digest, which contains funding opportunities an news on philanthropic programs.
