OBSSR & most NIH institutes & centers encourage behavioral & social science research on the causes & solutions to health & disabilities disparities in the U.S. Emphasis is on research in & among the following: public policy; health care; & disease/disability prevention. Particular attention given to reducing health gaps among groups.  Proposals that use an interdisciplinary approach, &/or employ innovative methods are particularly   encouraged. Replaces NLM's Publication Grants program. This G13 grant supports preparation of major critical reviews, state-of-the-art summaries, historical studies, & other useful organizations of knowledge in clinical medicine, public health, biomedical research, & the informatics/information sciences relating to them. Does not support data gathering   for research studies, such as ethnographic studies or mining of large databases. NLM plans to make 9-12 new awards each year. GRC members have received awards.
