Supports postsecondary education professionals and doctoral students to conduct research using national databases at the National Center for Ed Statistics (NCES) and NSF. Program goals: to provide professional development opportunities to Ph.D. students, institutional researchers, educators and administrators, and to foster the use of the federal databases for institutional research in postsecondary education. 2) Program: Fulbright-Hays: Faculty Research Abroad Fellowship
Agency: U.S. Department of Education
Next Deadline: November 16, 2010
Helps institutions strengthen foreign language and area studies programs by supporting faculty to conduct research abroad in modern foreign language and area studies. Overall goal is to strengthen knowledge on world areas not widely included in American curricula that focuses on critical languages, such as Farsi. Western Europe and U.S. projects are not eligible.
