Agency: American College Personnel Association
Next Deadline: February 1, 2011
Supports proposals from ACPA members to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of students in higher education. Of primary interest are proposals related to student learning and professional development. Up to $10,000 is awarded each year. Research grants usually range from $1,000 to $2,500 for one-year projects. Multi-year grants are also available.

2) Program: National Leadership Grants for Libraries
Agency: Institute of Museum and Library Services
Next Deadline: February 1, 2011
Provides $50,000 - $1 million up to three years for creative library projects that serve as national models. Up to $100,000 for planning grants. Applicants may apply individually or as partners. Museums may apply only in partnership with an eligible library applicant, with the library applicant as the lead. A 1:1 match is required for requests over $250,000. Cost sharing of at least 1/3 encouraged for requests under $250,000. Priorities are: Advancing Digital Resources; Library and Museum Collaboration; and Research and Demonstration.

Small Research Grants up to $40,000 help scholars and teachers in a broad range of academic institutions to pursue pilot research and the initial phases of larger investigations. Major Research Grants (no deadlines) support projects up to $500,000. Foundation focuses on five areas of interest: Education and Social Opportunity; Organizational Learning; Teaching, Learning, and Instructional Resources; Purposes and Values of Education; and Field-Initiated Proposals. Deadlines refer to required preliminary proposals for Small Research Grants.
