Supports proposals from ACPA members to enhance the student affairs profession and to generate and disseminate knowledge of students in higher education. Of primary interest are proposals related to student learning and professional development. Up to $10,000 is awarded each year. Research grants usually range from $1,000 to $2,500 for one-year projects. Multi-year grants are also available.

2) Program: Conservation Project Support
Agency: Institute of Museum and Library Services

Supports matching grants to help museums identify conservation needs and priorities and to perform activities for the safekeeping of collections. Collections may be non-living, systematics/natural history, living plants, and living animals. Activities may include environmental improvements, research, surveys, training, and treatment. Grants are up to $150,000 and require a one to one match.

3) Program: Museums for America
Agency: Institute of Museum and Library Services
Next Deadline: Nov 01, 2010
Encourages museums to use their collections, exhibits, & services to strengthen learning in the schools, in the home, & in partnership with community orgs. Program aims to provide support to museums for cultural heritage; lifelong learning; & community engagement. Projects include: planning/ongoing activities; improvement of infrastructure; purchase of equipment or services; &/or other activities. Awards range from $5,000 to $150,000, for a maximum three-year period. A 1:1 match is required regardless of award amount.
