Moving In - What to Bring

One of the most important times in your life will be your journey into college. We here at  Purchase College understand that you will be very excited and busy preparing for your first year in college. Maybe this is not your first year in college but your first experience living in a residence hall. So, to better assist you we have compiled a list of some necessities and optional items that are suggested so that your stay at Purchase College will be as comfortable as living at home.  The following items are provided in each room per person: bed, mattress, study desk, chair, closet, small dresser, internet jack, telephone jack, and a phone.

If you have trouble finding extra long sheets and bedding to fit the beds in our residence halls, the Office of Residence Life has partnered with Residence Hall Linens to provide parents and students with an easy, affordable option. Please visit the RHL website

You can also lease a MicroFridge to use in your residence hall room. This is the only microwave allowed for use in our residence halls, and parents and students won't have to transport or store this large applicance between semesters, or sell one after graduation.
