The 2009-2010 year is shaping up to be an exciting one for Purchase College athletics. Our athletic programs continue to grow, and we now have 14 varsity teams with the Panthers looking to light up the links with the addition of our new men’s varsity golf team.

Our coaches continue to do a great job recruiting and have brought in student-athletes who will greatly improve our programs and should help make our teams even more competitive this year within the Skyline Conference.

We are currently in the process of expanding our fitness center with the expectation of finishing Phase I of the project by the middle of the fall semester. The remodeling work will increase our present floor space by approximately 40 % and will give us the room needed to add more aerobic equipment, free weights and more workout room.

Phase II is slated to be completed over the summer of 2010, which will include opening up walls between workout areas to create even superior openness and space throughout the entire fitness center.

Our goals this year are to increase our competitiveness and have all our teams make the Skyline Conference playoffs. A few of our teams even have the potential to make it to NCAA Championships!
