Head Coach: Peter Nestel (2nd Year)

Peter Nestel holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics with a minor in Applied Engineering and Business from SUNY Stony Brook.  He is a PTR Certified Tennis Instructor and Tennis Professional, Certified Level I Coach for Triathlon, certified springboard diving coach and swimming coach.

Nestel joined Purchase following a stint at Lawrence University in Wisconsin where he was the head men’s and women’s tennis coach.  He coached the women’s tennis team to the Midwest Conference Team championships for the first time in 17 years. 

Nestel, who also coach's the men's tennis and women's tennis teams at Purchase, led the Panthers to a fifth place finish in 2006 in women's tennis. His men's tennis squad took 3rd place at the tournament and his swim team finished second at championships.

In 2007, he guided the women's swim team to the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Championship.

Assistant Coach: George Eversmann (1st Year)

Geroge Eversmann, the Recreation and Intramural Director for Purchase College, replaces Keegan Mills midseason. Eversmann has an extensive background in athletics and education. The Rockland County native attended Albertus Magnus High School before earning his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education at Bonaventure.

During his college career, Eversmann was a four-year varsity letterman in men’s swimming. He still holds two school records for the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle events. Eversmann, who swam for the Bergen Barracudas club team in New Jersey growing up, broke over 25 club records, and was a nationally ranked swimmer before joining Bonaventure, where he would become an NCAA qualifier for the school. He was also a member of the 1999 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship team and a 1997 All-Conference selection.
