What to Expect
International Orientation is a 4-day event. The first 2-days is specific to International students' needs, including sessions on transitioning to life in the U.S., on and off campus resources, ESL Testing*, and opportunities to socialize with current and incoming students. The final 2 days of Orientation you will be a part of a small group of 20 students with an Orientation Leader (OL) as a guide. The OL will answer any questions that you have about Purchase and also will get you acquainted with other new students.
*Please note that exchange students do not need ESL testing.
All International students living on campus for the Fall semester will move into their campus residence during International Orientation.
All meals will be provided for students attending International student Orientation. If you have special dietary needs, please contact us to make special arrangements.
