ENVIRONMENT IS EVERYTHING:
CREATIVE COMMUNITIES, CHANGING CLIMATES

Purchase College ’s campus-wide theme for 2008-2009, Environment is Everything: Creative Communities, Changing Climates, embraces issues concerning contemporary challenges to the physical environment as well as opportunities for new forms of expression found in various cultural centers globally.

The library is one such cultural center. We serve as a gathering place, a crossroads, in the center of campus. Our numerous resources vary from traditional (print) to digital (databases), from physical (monographs) to online (Netlibrary). We invite students and faculty to explore and utilize the great wealth of information to be gained through and in the library environment.

This year we will feature a Slideshow, video and physical displays, and more TBA.

Photos

Photographs of the Purchase campus can be viewed on the library's Flickr site. These include scenes of the Purchase farm collective (behind the Dance building) and dimensions of “nature” as we know it at Purchase.

For more information about these scenes, contact Carl Wadley (x6401; carlford.wadley@purchase.edu).
