SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER & INDIVIDUAL TAXPAYER IDENTIFICATION NUMBER

SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER

The Campus Identification number (CID) assigned to you by Purchase College is not a government agency number and should only be used for Purchase College on campus affairs. Students who accept any type of employment will need a social security number issued by the U.S. government agency, the Social Security Administration, for payroll and record-keeping purposes.  Please obtain instructions and a letter of recommendation from International Programs and Services before applying for a social security number.  Social security numbers are generally only issued for legal employment.
