Current students and recent graduates from all Boards of Study at Purchase are encouraged to seek opportunities to apply for  prestigious national & international scholarships & fellowships. Scholarship & Fellowship Advising is a student service that aims to:

• Serve as a centralized resource for information on distinguished scholarships for Purchase College students;
• Publicize scholarship opportunities to the Purchase College student community and recruit applicants for prestigious awards;
• Provide assistance in the preparation of effective and competitive applications;
• Publicize the successful outcomes of such applications.

Additionally the GUIDE is a collaborative project with International Studies and Programs and the MSU Library at Michigan State. The GUIDE has a large collection of resources for grants, scholarships, and fellowships. Be sure to identify scholarships that support your desired place of study, educational and career goals and year of application.

Benefits of applying for a national or international fellowship or scholarships can be gained long before winners are announced.  The application process is an invaluable learning experience in itself.

Preparation of a successful application for a prestigious national or international fellowship is a lengthy process.  Begin researching fellowships early in your college career; be sure to attend a Fellowship Information Session for potential applicants, or a Writing Workshops for assistance with crafting a compelling personal statement
