Federal Work-Study (FWS) is awarded based on financial need. Students work on-campus and are paid for the number of hours they worked. A check is issued to students every two weeks to help pay for personal expenses.
This program offers undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to earn money working on-campus. Students are encouraged to work in an area of interest. Due to the fact that the students are paid on a biweekly basis, this award cannot be used as a credit on the student's college bill. The average Work-Study award is $1,000 per year. Eligible students are awarded funds based on the timeliness of their FAFSA application and the availability of funds.
