Teach For America is the national corps of outstanding recent college graduates and professionals – of all majors, backgrounds, and career interests - who commit to lead students to academic success for two years in urban and rural public schools and become lifelong leaders in expanding educational opportunity. This year, over 10,000 corps members are teaching in 48 regions across the country, while over 30,000 Teach For America alumni continue working from inside and outside the field of education for the fundamental changes necessary to ensure educational excellence and equity is a reality for all students in our country. They are recruiting for both full time and part time entry level opportunities and provide paid training that provides all the certifications necessary to work in their positions. The Career Development Center is hosting its twelfth annual Purchase College Job & Internship Fair! Purchase College students and alumni will have an opportunity to meet with employer representatives from Westchester, Connecticut and the Metropolitan New York area who have internship, part-time, summer and full time job opportunities. A wide variety of employers will be attending including private for-profit organizations, government, non-profit and educational institutions as well as organizations in the visual, performing arts and entertainment fields.
