MAXIMIZE YOUR APPLICANTS

The following are tips for having your posting come up in more searches and attracting applicants:

  • Include a descriptive job title.  Ex:  Instead of "Internship" put "Marketing Internship"; instead of "Assistant" put "Assistant to the Director of Development".
  • Select multiple job functions. (Hold the "Control" key down)
  • Include a full job description.  Remember, you can also attach any documents you wish.
  • Include salary (if applicable)
  • Be sure to include as much information as you can in your Profile. (on the top toolbar in Purchase JobScore)

Remember, the more information that you include will allow the applicant to know they are applying for a position that matches their skills and qualifications!

REGISTER WITH PURCHASE JOBSCORE

  • On the Employer Services page you can "Create Your Employer Account"
  • Registration options:
    • Register for Purchase JobScore - Employers should use this just to register on Purchase JobScore without posting a job (free).   Employers  will receive username (email address) and password via email within one business day
    • Register and Post on Purchase JobScore - Employers can register on JobScore for the first time and post a job just for Purchase (free)
    • Register and Post a NACElink Multi-School Job - Employers can register and post to multiple schools in the NACElink network (small fee for additional schools)

POSTING JOBS AND INTERNSHIPS

  • On the Employer Services page enter your username (email address) and password.
  • Under "Jobs and Internships" on the top toolbar you can post a position.  (also under "quick links" on your home page)
  • You can post  free to Purchase JobScore under the "Purchase JobScore Postings" tab.  Slecte the "Add New" button to post a new job.
  • If you want to post to multiple schools in the NACElink Network, for a small additional fee, select the “Multi-School Postings" tab. 
  • Once on the job form, if you would like to re-post an expired position, select "Show Archived" and pick which expired position you would like to copy.
    • Remember , when copying an expired position, be sure to remove "copy" from the job title, choose a resume receipt and change the posting dates.
  • If you would to save a job as a Draft, select "Save And Finish Later".
  • Complete all required information.
  • Your job will be posted to the system after approval from a member of the CDC staff.

EDIT OR CANCEL AN ACTIVE JOB POSTING

To edit an active job posting

  • Under "Jobs and Internships" on the top toolbar your active Purchase JobScore listings will come up.  You can also select to view postings under "quick links".
  • Slect the job title, then make your changes and  "Submit"
  • The changes will be madea fter approval from a member of the CDC staff.

To cancel an active job posting

  • Under "Jobs and Internships" on the top toolbar your active Purchase JobScore listings will come up.  You can also select to view postings under "quick links".
  • Under "Options" you can "Deactivate" , which will automaticaly deactivate the position.  To re-post, see directions above.

FORGOT OR NEED TO CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD

  • If you forgot your password go to www.purchase.edu/departments/CareerDevelopment/employerservices/default.aspx#jobscore and select "Forgot Password?".
  • Enter your email address (username) and a new, re-generated password will be emailed to you.
    • The CDC staff CANNOT access your password, this is the only way to receive a new password.
  • To change your password, log into Purchase JobScore and then select "account" on the top tool bar.
  • Select the "Password/Preferences" tab to change your password to one of your choosing.
