Phase II of IV / through mid-May 2010

Phase II is now complete and all of the elevators passed inspection on June 11th, 2010. Training Purchase College staff for the new elevators is still pending.

The Phase III elevators are in renovation progress: the Bookstore (scheduled for delivery by June 23rd), the Natural Sciences freight car, the Post Office, and the Performing Arts Center elevators C and B.

Phase IV elevator work will include PAC elevators A and D, the Dining Hall, and Social Sciences. The work will start in August 2010, for delivery to the college at the end of 2010. The Phase IV elevators will be online for the Spring 2010 semester.

Project Specification

The Purchase Community will be pleased to note that work to repair and update elevators across campus has begun, with the work awarded to ThyssenKrupp.

Only four elevators at a time will be under construction.

The new elevators will have better accessibility, new elevator controllers, new pump units, new hoist equipment, new doors and new operators and a new surrounding elevator structure.
