Project Update as of April 29, 2013

Bids were received at DASNY on April 17th.  DASNY is currently working on awarding the construction contract.

The project is scheduled to start this June, beginning at the south end of Big Haus.  The majority of the work will be completed over this summer, with a few final non-disruptive items carrying into the fall semester.

Project Overview

The original u-shaped student dormitories, designed by the architectural firm Gwathmey-Siegel, and referred to at Big Haus, Crossroads, and Farside, is in need of having their existing roof and coping replaced due to age, leaks and continued deterioration.

This project will address these issues, while also increasing the energy efficiency of the roof.
